LOVE FOR THE RUNWAY ♥ LIGHTS CAMERA SEW!!!

Previously on PR…los diseñadores demostraron que tienen talento en su ADN en el fashion news, un gran mentiroso se fue a casa y un trench coat hecho de papel se convierto en el favorito de los jueces. Esta semana el reto consistió en crear un outfit inspirado en un género cinematográfico (film noir, sci fi, western, period piece and action/adveture). Los diseñadores deben crear un personaje que viva dentro de ese género y hacerse de una historia plausible, too bad for Jhonny, quien tuvo que dejar la competencia antes de poder desplegar su poderosa imaginación.

So here we are… half of the season y ya sabemos quiénes son los buenos, los malos y los feos. Personalmente no soporto la sobre confianza de Nicolas e Iriana, estos dos presuntuosos creen estar en un grupo “aparte” de los diseñadores cuando en realidad sus aportaciones al PR han sido mínimas o casi nulas. La selección queda conformada de la siguiente manera: Carol Hanna y Logan eligen action/adventure, what the hell is going between this two, que me los separen de inmediato!!! Althea, Irina y Louise eligen “film noir”; Ra’mon y Nicolas go for sci fi; Cutest guy on PR no quiere trabajar con demin so he chooses period piece along with Gordana y finalmente Shirin y Epperson got stuck in western. Let's recap their reactions:

“So for this challenge I am going to make another boring but very sexy assassin look, but I blame Logan for all of it, cause is so sexy and hot and...did I mention HOT?”



“I just feel like, because I’m HOT and everything that I have the freedom to do whatever I want as long as I have my killer silver pair of pants in my wardrobe. I’m so going to Bryant Park”.


“So from the last challenge it actually remind it me than I am a designer and how good I am doing these “wow pieces” that nobody else notice but me. I also very presumptuous and hot and I believe I'm the best in this group.”

“I am a died hard trekkie, I know everything about “Star wars”, I am excited about my hair and the idea of sci fi, I’m very good doing garments at the very last minute, so for this challenge I am going to do a “Hot Green mess” named lola, so God help me!!!”

“I love sci fi, I am always in far away and fantasy lands. I love lace, I have no taste or real friends and that’s what really separates me from the other designers”.



“When I think in “film noir” I just don’t have a clue. Who took my bobbin anyway?”






“Western WTF we don’t even have a cowboy hat on our accessories wall, so I am going for a saloon girl but I don’t wanna look like she’s...who Am I kidding I am loud and this is going to be a costume”.


“There is not going to be an epic drama here so I just going to make this big puffy Victorian sleeveless vampire bride dress and I hope the judges go for the ride.”



Es desconcertante como los diseñadores miss their marks en challenges de este tipo, like Heidi said: “you know is for movie, and you have the freedom of thinking about the most craziest characters as you pleased” y todos los diseñadores deciden jugar “safe” sin nada de extravaganza o costume drama, so necessaries para este show.

For the winner of this challenge: Nicolas ¿? C’om talking about school Projects. ¿Donde esta la inovacion?, I don’t care if the makeup and the history works it’s just look so cheap and completely uninspired. A white villain what about Tilda swinton en “Las crónicas de Narnia” y en lugar de pensar “wow that was a cool outfit the one the cold villain was wearing” like Heidi points, me voy con la idea de “wow we need some criteria for the forever changing panel of judges”. Not cool at all plus obtuvo inmunidad lo que significa que tendremos que soportarlo durante al menos dos semanas mas.

Epperson should have won this one, without a doubt!!!

Gordana, Lousie y die hard trekkie son enviados al bottom tree. Por un momento pensé que sería Gordana quien finalmente abandonaría la competencia, tras 3 consecutivos en el fondo de la tabla de calificaciones pero ohh sorpresa; triste pero merecidamente Ra’mon es eliminado por su diseño de reptil sacado del manga a último minuto, but wait with Ra’mon out of the competition we’re kinda out of good male designers cause lace princess is full of crap, Epperson es bastante irregular y Logan is nothing but HOT. So am guessing cutest guy on PR is really a strong candidate for Bryant Park. Good for him, solo espero no ver doce puffy dresses en su colección.

Next week on PR. Los diseñadores trabajaran por parejas, posiblemente tengamos una doble eliminación, Gordana’s hands are full of ink, Christopher is crying and our favorite bitch is back: Sir Michael kors with his sassy comments, finally!!! (Nina G se volverá a unir al show a finales de octubre.)
