Lifetime aseguraba en sus cortes promocionales que este nuevo episodio seria algo nuevo y nunca visto en la historia de PR, plus un diseñador seria el protagonista de una gran mentira sobre el runway y el panel de jueces contaría con una celebridad amante de la moda para cubrir el hueco que han dejado Michael y Nina. Un clásico dentro del show finalmente hace su aparición para complacer a todos los fans: El reto Diseñar con materiales no convencionales: periódico. Quizá no el más original de los retos o acaso ninguno de uds. jugo con papel periódico para hacer las ropas a sus hermanos…anyone ¿?…seryously anyone, WTF next thing I know is that you never dressed your barbies with toilet paper…ok let's move on… los diseñadores acompañan a Tim Gunn a la bodega de “Los Ángeles times”.

Las reglas continúan siendo las mismas: El ganador obtendrá inmunidad, quien mienta en la pasarela se irá a casa, quien use pantalones color plata se salvara y quien se atreva a diseñar algo completamente wearable será enviado al bottom 3…this is the real PR!!!

Let’s start the show…first the birds, en la imaginación de Jhonny su vestido fantasy Dior seria sostenido por unas pequeñas aves, then Tim Gunn comes in and said something like this: “I hate this dress, it looks like some kinder garden on meth designs this, you should get rid of it right now, make another one and then prepared a history about how your first outfit got ruined…so make it work” mmmmm, not really. Tim Gunn odio el vestido y el resto fue, de acuerdo a Lifetime la mentira más grande dentro de todo el PR history. Personalmente creo que la mentira más grande fue el hecho de hacernos creer que MK y Nina García estarían ocupando sus lugares junto a nosotros los 15 episodios completos.

Jhonny se deshace del vestido y en orden para sobrevivir jura ante Dios como su testigo que primer diseño fue arruinado por una plancha escupe fuego marca diablo. WTF who is this guy? Is he back on meth or something? why he didn’t just cry like the last time? al final Jhonny se ha ido a casa sin el premio, llorando, sin el abrazo de despedida de Tim y con las manos vacias no por ser “a big fat liar” sino por ser “a big lousy designer” and we all hate those on the runway.

Pero para nuestro relief y fuera de este penoso incidente hubo un gran improvement esta semana con los diseños so let’s start with the ones we like: Althea definitivamente se ha ganado un lugar dentro de mis preferidos a estar en la final del Mercedez Benz fashion week. Althea eligió diseñar una silueta que aceuntuara el “bum”, plus it feats perfectly, the color is nice, Eva Longoria loved it and overall I think her design is chic and completely wearable.

Now for the winner of this challenge congratulations to: Irina. Like Althea, I don’t know if this girl is good or bad or if she’s also on meth or something, let’s recap Irina’s outfits on the runway: EP01 boring, EP02 safe, EP03 again boring, EP04 WTF and now she just wow us!!! Sabiamente esta chica decide por su propia cuenta y sin la ayuda de una plancha mágica o la necesidad de inventar una absurda historia que su primer diseño apesta, then she looks around, el workroom está lleno de vestidos pero nadie está haciendo un abrigo (a trench coat) so in a very smart move Irina decide realizar su propia versión de Coco Chanel meets Yves SL, meets Tommy H. Realmente no tengo idea de que fue lo que la haya inspirado, pero el diseño es precioso y muy elegante. Mi única queja es que hubiera preferido ver algo de color para que no luciera como papel periódico, fuera de eso, este era el GRAN ganador sin lugar a dudas.

“You gave a sheep and I will make you a sweater, you gave me news paper and I will gave you something wearable” En otro epsidio mas de “No love for Gordana”, los jueces deciden enviarla al bottom 3. Buuuuu!!! Que injusticia, cierto su diseño no es precisamente el último hit del newspapwer fashion, pero al menos para mí no merecía estar en esta posición. The top is very architectural, the look is cute, todo lo que gordana necesitaba era llevar su diseño al siguiente nivel.

And the rest of the designers went like this, cutes guy made a great look, beautiful armor top, but I really don’t like the bottom y seamos honestos esta es la tercera occasion en la que Christian juega a hacerse el dramatic con los volumenes. What else you got kiddo? Logan plays asian safe and boring, Ra’mon dress is cute but just not good enough; Nicolas was a punk and guess what, He tried to make a dress out of it and Epperson, c’mon I can do better!!! Meanwhile across the workroom, another volume player Carol Hanna –I have mixed feelings about this one, I like is being dramatic but I not sure I like the color. Shirin dress is way to dramatic and Lousie look is just so fucking weird, I don’t even know where to start: the hair, the neck , the silhouette, the skirt ahhhhh… it’s just so fucking distracting!!!

Next week: toilet paper and glue!!! That’s a challenge.
