LOVE FOR THE RUNWAY ♥ BACK TO NEW YORK

L.A. SUCKS!!! Not really, but we hope the streets of New York make the show feel brand new and the Big lights will inspired our new group of designers!!!

Estamos de vuelta para una nueva temporada y no vamos a pretender que la temporada 6 casi termina por enterrar el show 3 metros bajo tierra, quizá únicamente para el beneplácito de la gente de BRAVO. Muchos errores se cometieron durante la pasada temporada y personalmente no me hubiese molestado tener que esperar quizá hasta junio para el estreno de una nueva temporada y dejar sanar las heridas; but here we are, back to New York City, back for the seventh season of PROJECT RUNWAY and back for the recaps!!!

A estas alturas, cualquiera que haya seguido el show desde sus inicios, sabe que hay ciertas reglas que hay que seguir al pie de la letra en orden para sobrevivir en esta competencia, pero ya las iremos mencionando. Para nuestro primer reto los diseñadores se encuentran con Tim Gunn en el Cantral Park along with cientos de yardas de telas de “mood”. Los diseñadores tiene únicamente 3 minutos para elegir sus texturas y colores preferidos and is all about who they are as a desingner’s, rings you any bell ¿? Of course, la dinámica es bastante similar al de la premiere de la cuarta temporada, but it's OK. Y no entiendo porque aun se sorprenden los diseñadores cuando escuchan que únicamente tienen 3 minutos, come on this is PR, 3 minutes is a hell of a time. You guys should be thankful!!!

Back to Parsons...donde todo luce exactamente igual y lo único que ha cambiado es que ahora los diseñadores realizan sus sketches en una HP touch smart notebook’s. Todo mundo comienza a trabajar en el workroom, they cut, they sew, they are nice to each other cuando de repente una de las chicas entra en pánico, si dos horas antes de terminar el día nuestra amiga decide re-hacer todo su trabajo, what lead us to rule #4 DON’T RE-STAR YOUR OWN DESIGN AT THE LAST MINUTE, it never works!!!

Moving on to the Runway and the defying moments… FIRST THE ONE I LIKE:

Oopppss!!! I mean the dresses, so moving on…

The NOT SO glamorous evening gown that it was short and then become long and then a huge crocodile trunk exploit… JESUS! arghh it’s so freaky.

The last minute effort…and seriously WTF is this!!! There is no point of view or sense of fashion at all, these are just clothes!!!

Then this shows up, and OMG!!! It was a disaster, the choose of the fabric, the combination of colors, the hair and make up, the poorly execution, which lead us to our rule #12 ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO THE HEM!!! How fucking difficult is that!!!

I kinda like this one, I think the top has some interesting details and it’s well constructed, unfortunately the skirt is a little short and I just wanna rip those flowers off!!! They are so distracting…rule #15 EDIT, EDIT EDIT!!!

For me, the winner was this. The moment this “Little Tokyo” turns out the corner to me it was like, ok stop there we have a winner.

However the judges choose this dress as the winner and I kinda expect that, It is a cute little dress and the though and the technique are good plus one shoulder dresses are such a HOT trend right now, so it was ok, so congratulation to EMILO.
